Kids and parents take note!  INSOFAR chess academy will organized chess tournaments which offered  chess scholarship to juniors chess players.

Time Control    :25 minutes (4 round Swiss)

Place               : DATCC

                        4^th, Floor Wilayah Complex,

                        Jln Dang Wangi, KL.

Fees                        : RM 50 (Pay on tournament day)

Participant       Below 20 years old on 1^st Jan 2011

Registration     : By sms name, age & name of tournament to

LIMITED TO 16 PLAYERS ONLY

PRIZE and SCHOLARSHIP

Champion        - RM 30 x 60 months

2^nd                   - RM 20 x 60 months

3^RD                   - RM 15 x 60 months

Under 1600     - RM 10 x 60 months

Under 1500     - RM 10 x 60 months

Unrated           - RM 5 x 100 months

Best under 15  - RM 5 x 100 months

Best under 12  - RM 5 x 100 months

Best Girl          - RM 5 x 100 months

Winners will continue to get scholarship every month, eventhough not playing in the tournament anymore.

Scholarship win in more than one time can be added.

Prize & scholarship winner must open Maybank Account or meanwhile can use parent’s Maybank Acc.

If not, the scholarship will be accumulated until the Maybank Account is opened.

The scholarship given is to encourage players to study & play chess. It is good if the winner use it for any tournament fees, any chess classes, lodging & transportation etc.

The scholarship is a GIFT from Insofar. It is not a RIGHT.

ADDITIONAL  SCHOLARSHIP  PLAN

Scholarship will also be given base on number of times attending the Junior Scholarship tournament as follows:

Attended 3 times     – RM 5 x 100 months

(Consecutively)

Attended 7 times     – RM 10 x 100 months

(Consecutively)

Attended 12 times   – RM 15 x 100 months

( Not Consecutively)

Attended 24 times   – RM 55 x 100 months

Attended 36 times   – RM 200 x 50 months

Attended 48 times   – RM 500 x 30 months

Attended 60 times   – RM 1,000 x 20 months

Scholarship winner :

1)  Must play minimum once every 3 years in Scholarship Tournament

2)  When (later) age more than 20, Insofar will hold Insofar Open Scholarship Tournament.

3)  Prize winners who get 1^st and 2^nd are allowed to play maximum of 3 scholarship tournament only per (calendar) year (including the tournament he won)

Background

1.  Although the scholarship is not a promise, but Insofar will do its best to make the plan successful.

2.  Insofar starts its chess classes in Ipoh.

3.   Insofar just launched its expansion plan to have classes all over Malaysia within 5 years.

4.  Now it has classes in Ipoh, Taiping, Sri Iskandar, Shah Alam and Bandar Baru Bangi.
