Round 2 Juniors vs Senior at National Closed 2011: IM Jimmy Liew...The Senior To Beat!

National Closed 2011

In the previous post, i wrote about the juniors losing 0-3  to the senior (IM Mashafizul) at Maverick Rapid . The juniors will have a chance to 'amend' the round 1 result as  IM Jimmy Liew (photo above) has confirmed to play at the coming National Closed. This time, he will be 'The Senior To Beat"!

'Senior' National Juniors needed to be told/shown where to find opponents' games? I would understand if its the 'junior' National Juniors. This is a typical case of spoon-feeding and an insult to the juniors.

I think you misunderstand the intention Zurin. This is not only for the Juniors per se. This is for all our chess players to begin understanding competitor analysis. The juniors are already practising rudimentary competitor analysis. This exercise is to deepen that for the entire chess community. Also there is no harm for differentiation of work. Like Firey rook bringing us the latest in International tournaments. I dont call that spoon feeding. I call that team work. I hope this clarifies.
