After a strong performance against Lithuania yesterday, the men team will meet another strong team - Switzerland in round 4. Although Malaysia is 188 rating average lower then the Swiss, psychologically we have the advantage due to our great show in 2006 Turin Olympiad when we beat the Swiss 2.5-1.5 in round 9. Back then, our top board - Mashafizul made history when he beat former Vice Champion - Victor Kortchnoi . Unfortunately this time, the legendary player couldn't play due to health reason.
In 2006, Lim Yee Weng held GM Joe Gallagher to a draw but this time - Mok Tze Weng will carry the duty against the same opponent.
