IM Mashafizul produced a shocking result when he beat Serbian IM -Jure Skoberne (FIDE 2499) in the 9th round of the Biel 2008 - with black piece! . Jure is the 16th seeded ( Mas is 28th seeded) and 113 rating points higher then Mas . This win surely boost Mas confidence for the remaining rounds ( round 10 and 11).
He is now in 10th place with 6.5 points. He'll be paired against a slightly overweight and 45 years old Russian GM - Evgeny Gleizerov ( FIDE 2549) photo right in round 10.
