IM Mashafizul (photo right) produced an unexpected results in round 4 by beating experienced and famous theoretician, IM Ashot Nadanian (photo down) (2436) from Armenia . Ashot Nadanian is famous chess opening expert. He has write a few opening chess books for example New In Chess Book: Gruenfeld 5.Na4 - Nadanian Variation or Exchange Variation . He also famous as an Budapest Gambit expert. IM Mashafizul starts scoring points after a very slow starts (minus 2 from 2 rounds!) in the 4th Singapore Masters International Open Tournament 2007 . FM Lim Yee Weng as expected, lost to the top seed GM Zhang Zhong in round 3 in 25 moves before collecting a points in round 4 by beating Philipines NM Rolando Andador. So far Mas and Yee Weng have collected 2 points. In round 5 Mashafizul will meet Indian(correction: Irine is from Indonesia) WIM Sukandar Irine Kharisma and FM Lim Yee Weng will meet Vietnamese GM Nguyen Anh Dung.
GM Zurab Azmaiparashivili is leading the tournaments wilth maximum 4 points and will meet former World Junior Champion, GM Dao Tien Hai in round 5.
