Putrajaya Community Chess Tournament 2007



The Putrajaya Community Chess Tournament 2007 took place in Dewan Serbaguna Presint 9, Putrajaya on 15 September 2007. The tournament is organise by Putrajaya Chess Association sponsered by Perbadanan Putrajaya. About 200 participatants compete in this swiss 6 rounds event with rapid time control 20 minutes. The tournaments were devided by three category, 16 years and above , below 16 and below 12 .

Yours truly [hairulov :)] compete in the 16 and above category and manage to be the runner-up with 5.5 points - equal points with the winners and defending champion Muhammad Rizal Jusah photo above but Rizal have the better tie-break. Rizal is a teachers in Sekolah Menengah Alam Shah, Putrajaya.

Special thank to Mr. Ahmad Maliki, the new President of Putrajaya Chess Association and ex-national player as the main person behind the succesfull of this tournaments. Perbadanan Putrajaya the generous sponsor of this event provide a good prize money.
8 players receive prize money in each category. The champion for each category receive RM 450 (16 years and above), RM 350 ( below 16 )and RM 300 (below 12).

This tournaments can't be succesfully organised without the help off the very hard working commitee above !

i must say that this was a successful event where finally we got a true cahmpion. also congrat to bro hairul as finished as a second runner up ( same points as the winner but different tie break. thanks a lot to bro maliki for organized such this event.
