Rybka has been dominating computer chess for the past three years or so and i've been using it as my main engine for game analysis . Today i read an interesting interview at chessvibes.com. The site conduct an interview with the current World Champ - Vishy Anand. One of the question is about his choice of chess engines. The interviewer ask Anand to chooce between Fritz, Rybka and Houdini. And Anand chooce -Houdini!
I also found out that it's not only Anand who choose Houdini, former Russian Champion and world top 5 - Peter Svidler also loved it. Another player who prefer Houdini is former US Champion - Alex Shabalov.
Read what Svidler said about it:-
ChemaAnton: Hello, Peter! Which engine do you use for analysis? (if it’s not a secret).
Тактик: Which chess programs do you prefer – which engines do you use?
I’ve put together quite a large collection – although I’ve also seen much more complete menageries than mine. At the moment the ones I use most are Houdini, Fire and Rybka - Peter Svidler
