Malaysia has climbed a few place in the recent (November 2009) FIDE rating list to stand on 71st place. IM Mashafizul still in no.1 spot by earning 3 points followed by FM Nicholas Chan who drop a point and now at 2402 .
The 3rd spot goes to FM Mok Tze Meng who is the top gainer collecting 45 points and getting closer to hit the 2400 barrier and confirm his IM title. Welcome back to the active list is FM Ooi Chern Ee with 2357 and now is number 4 . FM Lim Yee Weng suffer a major lost , losing 30 points and now on 5th with 2336 . FM Peter Long elo remained at 2331 and is on 6th place follow by IM Jimmy Liew who climb back to the 2300+ club with 2315 . In 8th place - Ronnie Lim Chuin Hoong gained 9 points (2294) followed by Franchis Chin (2223) and Fairin Zakaria (2201).
