Rapid Tie break(2), Malaysian Master (Semifinal) 01.11.2009

1.e4 c5 2.d4 Mok play Smith Morra Gambit ! 2...cxd4 3.c3 g6 4.cxd4 d5 5.exd5 Nf6 6.Bb5+ Nbd7 7.Nc3 a6 8.Bxd7+ Qxd7 9.Qb3!? Rybka opening book give 9.Nf3 . Mok's move is probably to play for initiative at the cost of weakening his king safety. 9... Qg4 10.Nge2 Qxg2 11.Rg1 Qh3 Rybka endorsed black to capture the h2 pawn but Mas said to me that after 11...qxh2 white have strong initiative with 13.Bf4 followed by castling queenside 12.Rg3 Qf5 13.Rg5 Qf3 14.Rg3 Qf5 15.Na4 b5 16.Nb6 Rb8 17.Rg5 Qh3 18.Rg3 Qf5 19.Rg5 Qh3 20.Rg3 Qf5 1/2-1/2 Mas offer a draw and Mok agree.
