GoldIs as expected win this match against "The Auditors". However they could have done better if not because a terrible blunder made by their second board player - Abdullah Che Hassan against Cheach Cheok Fung at early stage of the game .

The Spawn 2009 vs SMS Gold (1-3)

The favorite team SMS Gold win the match as expected. They only lost a points from board 3 where Yeoh Li Tian once again beat ex-World Police Champion - Ismail Ahmad.

Below is the position from the board 2 - Mok Tze Meng vs Yeoh Chin Seng. I write the game continuation manually from their scoresheet . I hope there's no mistake but i believe the above continuation is what happen during the game .

Black to move

Black ( Yeoh Chin Seng) before playing ...Be5

1...Be5 Black should have grab the pawn with 1...Qxa2! and not afraid of 2.Bf6 because after 2...Ba7! Threatening mate on f2 with Qxf2++ ! 3.Qf4 Bc5 and black bishop can retreat to f8 if needed. Black extra and passed pawn on queenside should give him large advantage. 2.c4 Bg7 3.Be3 Qf5 4.Bg2 Qc2? Provoking the strong 5.Rd8! Qa4 6.Qe7 Qd1+? 6...Rxd8 7.Qxd8+ Bf8 8.Bc5 Be8 Is the best defense although white still maintain the driver seat 7.Rxd1 Rxe7 8.Bxc6 1–0 Black resign. However black could try 8...Rxe3 ( The problem after 8...bxc6 is 9.Rd8+ Bf8 10.Bh6 mating !) 9.Rd8+ Bf8 10.fxe3 bxc6 but the endgame is definetly lost because the a pawn will drop for e.g after 11.Kf2 Kg7 12.Ra8

DATCC vs MBS (2.5 - 0.5)

The meeting between the two tail ender ended in with an unusual results ( DATCC win with 2.5-0.5). The "missing point" is cause by the absentees of both board 3 player who didn't turn up. Both team were awarded zero point for that particular board.

This 4th board boy from MBS wear a mask probably to avoid the H1N1 virus. For stubborn people like me, i just took a spoon of Scott Emulsion a day to combat all the virus, bacteria, cholesterol, teh tarik, roti canai..etc.etc in my body

786 Chess Club vs Tan & Tan ( 3.5-0.5)

Tan & Tan fielded a new player on their line up - Dr. Wahid Karim. However the 786 Chess Club is not in "welcoming mood" and they only concead a half points against their opponent. 786 almost lost a point when their second board - Kamaluddin Yusoff turn up late and only left with about 5 minutes. With 30 second increment for each move , he was probably not so worry . Kamaluddin a frequent and strong blitz player won his game against Benard Ng.

PCWW vs NMCC (1-3)

Although many expect us to win by the same margin ( 4-0) as what we have done in the early round against the Women ( girls !?) team , i 'm sure that PCWW will not made it easy for us especially when the Powerpuff Girl trio is playing. However if not because of an unfortunate blunder made by our board 3 player - Rusdi Sidi in a winning position, we might have won it with 4-0. Anyway i was sattisfied with the result considering that our opponent have 3 title player playing - ( WCM Nabila Azman, WFM Najiha Azman and NWM Yeoh Li Tian - correction - NWM Tan Li Ting - sorry for the mistake) .

12.Rxe4? A mistake which lost the exchange. Correct is 12.Qxe4 . The move 12.Rxe4 look natural however there are "hidden agenda" by black after 12...Nc5 13.Qc2 [13.dxc5 Bxh2+ 14.Kxh2 Qxd3] 13...Nxe4 14.Qxe4...... and Ilhamuddin material advantage won the game after several moves 0–1

Black to move

Before playing his next move, Rusdi ask me who is the team captain for the team wheteher he should offer a draw because he was not so sure with his position. I said that i don't mind, shockingly Rusdi executed a brillianty move...

1...Rxg2+!! 1...Rag8? At first my teamate Aziz Shukor and I tought this move is better but Rusdi point out after the game that it is actually a serious mistake for e.g 2.Ba3+ Ke8 3.Kh1 (3.Qb8+ Nd8 4.Kf1 Rxg2? 5.Rxd8+ Qxd8 6.Qe5+ Kd7 7.Rd1+) 2.Kxg2 Rg8+ 3.Kf1 Qxh3+ 4.Ke1 However the next move ruin the winning position completely 4...Rg1+?? Rusdi should have left this rook for another duty for e.g 4... Qh1+ 5.Kd2 (5.Ke2 Qf3+ 6.Kd2 Qxf2#) 5...Rd8+ The key move 6.Qd4 (6.Kc2 Qxd1+ 7.Kb2) 6...Rxd4+ 7.cxd4 Qg2 and black passed h- pawn should won the game.
