Hou Yifan Grind Down Vallejo Pons !

Vice Women World Champion - Hou Yifan (photo right) from China beat Spain no. 2 - Vallejo Pons in the 12 round of the Corus B Tournament last night. The way that the Chinese lady grind down the strong Spanish GM looks like a teacher is teaching a beginner !

21...Qe7 Fritz suggest sacrificing the queen for a rook and knight with 21...b5 22. Qc3 Qxd1+ 23.Rxd1 Be6 24.Qxc6 though white still have better game i believe 22.Nxg7 Kxg7 23.Nh5+ Kh8 24.Bc5 Qe6 24...Qc7 doesn't help because 25.Nxf6 Threatening 26.Qh4! for e.g 25...Re5 26.Qh4 h5 27.Rxg6 25.Rge1 Qxe1

25...Ne5 Also lost after 26.Qxe6 Bxe6 27.Nxf6 Bg4 28.Nxe8 Rxe8 (28...Bxd1 29.Rxe5) 29.f3 Bxf3 30.Rxe5 Rxe5 31.Rd8+ Kg7 32.Bd4 Kf6 33.Re8 26.Qxf7!
