larry-james - hairulov
ICC Internet Chess Club, 5 minute blitz, 21.01.2009
After a difficult middlegame, i managed to transpose into a drawn ending, however due to time trouble for both side, Larry made a serious blunder that almost cost him the game.
In the position above, white can simply play 53.Kf3 Re1 54. Kxg2 and Rxe5 which is a dead draw, however due to time trouble Larry blunder with 53.Rg8?? Rf1+ 54.Ke4 Re1+ 54...g=q+ win quicly for e.g 55.Rxg1 Rxg1 56.Kf5 Kd5 57.e6 Rf1+ 58.Kg5 Kxe6 55.Kf5 Rf1+ 56.Ke6 56.Ke4 Re1+ 57.Kf5 g1Q 58.Rxg1 Rxg1 59.e6 Kd6 60.Kf6 Rf1+ 61.Kg6 Kxe6 56...g1Q 57.Rxg1 Rxg1 58.Ke7 Kc6 59.e6 Kc7 60.Ke8 Kc8 61.e7 Rf1
I was going to play 61...Re1 but a damn mouse slip happen and suddenly a nice women voice on ICC said "stalemate". What a @#$%. The intended move 61...Re1 62.Kf7 Kd7 winning 1/2-1/2
