Malaysia will faced a giant task in round 6 tommorow tommorow after being paired against the 28th seed - Slovenia. However the Malaysian team could use the badly need rest day today to prepare against the much stronger opponent.
On paper Malaysian team is not in the same league with Slovenia. Their 1st board is GM Alexander Beliavsky (FIDE 2619) - photo left former World Championship candidate quaterfinalist in 1983. Although the 55 years old has past his peak , the veteran GM still a hard player to beat. Last night he even draw against world no. 1 player - Veselin Topalov (2791)!!!Their second board is a 32 years old GM Dusko Pavosovic ( 2555) who will probably meet FM Lim Yee Weng tommorow. Slovenia remaining team members is GM Lenic Luka (2569), IM Borisek Jure ( 2548) and IM Skoberne Jure (2501).
As the remaining of Malaysia line up, i suggest FM Mok Tze Meng be selected to play tommorow considering his 5th round win last night. The 4th board should be given to Edward Lee (2054) considering IM Jimmy Liew poor performances so far.
