The 2nd Philippine Open International Chess Championship at the Subic Bay Exhibition and Convention Center has started yesterday but unfortunately there’s no site that cover the tournament with full details such as the result, pairing and games. So far I don’t have any info about our sole representative IM Mashafizul in that tournament.
However, Indonesian- Kristianus Liem an Indonesian Chess Association (PERCASI) representative who follow the Indonesian team did the coverage for his team in his blog http://potretcatur.blogspot.com/
So far top guns such as Filipino wonderboy-GM Wesley So ,GM Ehsan Ghaem Maghami of Iran ,GM Susanto Megaranto of Indonesia, GM Wang Li, GM Weiqi Zhou, IM Barlo Nadera, all crusing through easliy in the 1st round.
