IM Mas lost to GM Konstantine Shanava (2521) in round 9.

Malaysian IM Mashafizul Helmi lost to 23 years old Georgian GM Konstantine Shanava (2521)- (photo right)in round 9 of the 16th Fajr International Chess Open Tournament in Orumiyeh , Iran yesterday. Mas hope to get a GM norm in this tournament have ended because in round 10 he was paired against untitled Iranian - Navid Chaichi (2124). Mas now have to make sure that he doesn’t lost in the two remaining rounds to prevent losing rating points from this tournaments.
