Yeoh Li Tian is the Zonal Champion !

Who would have thought so a few days ago. A Malaysian would win the strong Zone 3.3 Chess Championships 2017 (Open) ?... and that's what happen two days ago when Malaysian - FM Yeoh Li Tian - the 10th seed did the unbelievable  by winning the event undefeated. He tied win the first seed - GM Ngoc Truong Son but have the better tie-break. Win this victory,  Li Tian  create a history by being the first Malaysian ever to get a GM Norm  and  qualified to the World Cup 2017 in Tbilisi, Georgia this September!
