Do you remember when the last time a local chess tournament (individual) offered RM 2,000.00 cash prizes for the champion? If i'm not mistaken - Royal Selangor (Selangor Open) did gave good prizes money before.
Recently INSOFAR organized the 1st INSOFAR Elite Open which offered attractive prize money. Mohd Saprin Sabri - The 1st INSOFAR Elite Open Final received RM 2,000 as the champion!
