It was with great sadness that I received the news of Lim Chong's death. Lim Chong was a former chess columnist in Malay Mail. In recent years, he write regularly in a chess column - Chess Overboard in DATCC's blog.
Abdul Hamid Majid told me this afternoon that Lim died on a flight from London to Malaysia early today. I'm waiting for more details from Mr.Hamid and according to Hj. Ibrahim Bakar, the remains will undergo a post-mortem examination at Serdang Hospital.
This is a sad day for Malaysian chess.
