The Malaysian open (men) and women squads ends their campaign in the 39th Olympiad , Khanty Mansiysk last Monday.The Open (men) team finish in 92nd place from 149 countries . This is slightly better then Dresden 2008 where we finish on 96th from 146 countries.
The women team had a good tournament. They finish on 64th place from 115 team. The women team initial seeding is 74.
As mentioned by Firey rook and an sms i received from a friend regarding Mas lost in the final round, below is Mas's words :-
"my phone alarm rang at 12.20, daily alarm for lunch...Unfortunately last game is played in the morning..Fon (phone) is off but still the alarm rang..As Khairunnisa called it "Nokia Gambit"..Overall i am happy that i played this olympiad..gave me the confident that i can work n still go for my GM - Insyallah"
