Three Malaysian Musketeer with five points going into the final round !

Three top Malaysian players - IM Mok Tze Meng (2416), IM Jimmy Liew (2292) and NM(Dr.) Ronnie Lim Chuin Hoong (2302) is going into the final round of the 2010 DATMO tomorrow with 5 points each.

Today, Mok produced a stunning result in round 7 by beating The 2010 Commonwealth Chess Champion - GM R.R Laxman (2503) from India. He however failed to continue his fine form in round 8 after being beaten by FM Nguyen Doc Hoa (2360) from Vietnam.

Jimmy and Ronnie had a solid performance today. Jimmy beat IM Duong The Anh (2415) from Vietnam in round 7 and split the point against IM Roy Chowdhury (2457) from India in round 8.

Penangite - Ronnie draw both his games today against IM Khamrakulov Dzurabek from Uzbekistan (round 7) and GM Nas Deelotpal from India (round 8).

Tomorrow, Mok will faced Ronnie in the final round and my guess is both will choose to cease fire and split the point while Jimmy who have already burn the bridge by "sacking " all his annual leave will surely give his best against Uzbek GM - Marat Dzhumaev (2484).

All the best guys and Malaysia Boleh!
