Obituary - Florencio Campomanes

3rd May 2010 - Former FIDE President - Florencio Campomanes died  at 83 today according to FIDE and chessvibes.com. Campo as many called him is a great chess personalities and his name will be engraved in chess history forever.

Campo has been a frequent guest in Malaysian chess scene . Last year, he attended the 1st DATCC Team League  closing ceremonies and  delivered an inspiring  speech to the participants.
