Vitali Klitschko - World WBC Heavyweight Champion + avid chess player will defend his (boxing) title

World WBC Heavyweight Boxing Champion - Vitali Klitschko will defend his   title on 29th May 2010 against Polish- Sosnowski...... So you might wonder what this has got to do with chess? Yes- Vitali is an avid chess player- read this article from chessbase.com. He is also the first professional boxing world champ that have a PhD- that`s why his nickname is Dr.Iron Fist!

I think he will also easily beat any chessboxing champion- single handed. In one of boxing insider - biofiles, - Vitali mentioned  quite interesting (confusing?!) point about chess and boxing -pay attention on  the last sentence in red...

“Chess is similar to boxing. You need to develop a strategy, and you need to think two or three steps ahead about what your opponent is doing. You have to be smart. But what’s the difference between chess and boxing? In chess, nobody is an expert, but everybody plays. In boxing everybody is an expert, but nobody fights.”
