The Annual Malaysia-Singapore Chess Challange will be held from 15-16 February 2010 in Kuala Lumpur.
Singapore has annouced their line up and it seems that they didn't send their strong national squad this time. No name like GM Zhang Zhong, GM Wu Shaobin and GM Wong Meng Kong in the list. Their only title players in the Singapore men team is IM Giam Choo Kwee and FM Dominic Lo Kin Mun and for the women team - WFM Jeslin Tay and WFM Yang Liu. Malaysia in the other hand will feauture Malaysian no.1 and 2 - IM Mashfizul Helmi and IM Mok Tze Meng.
In my opinion, Malaysia is superior in man senior teams but others ( lady, boys and girls) category it is not really clear who had the advantage. However i predict Malaysia have a 60% chance to win this time and to end the 9 years losing streak to our neighbor.
