A sad news for Malaysian chess enthusiast. According to FIDE.com, the Commonwealth Chess Championship which was planned to be held in Malaysia will not materialised. Instead the international tournament will be organise by our neighbouring country - Singapore somewhere between November-December.There reason is "due to some very unfortunate developments in Malaysia " . Whatever the reason the Malaysian chess community will lost another opportunity to play and witness an international chess event held in this country. This kind of news is not what we need especially after the uncertainties of holding the annual Malaysian Open (DATMO).
