The line up for the 3rd round of the 2008 Dresden Olympiad has been publish . Surprisingly German decide to play their 1st board GM Arkadij Naidtsch (FIDE 2678) and rest Igor Khenkin. Malaysia on the other hand decide to field experience FM Mok Tze Meng and IM Jimmy Liew on board 3 and 4 and rest the young padawan - NM Edward Lee . Probably the strategy is the experience player ( Mok and Jimmy) would play solidly and pick a draw. I personally would prefer NM Edward Lee to give him chance to compete with top ellite player but in team events every single ( or half ) points is important!
