After beating Jersey 2.5 - 1.5 last night (morning) , Malaysia collected 6 points and is on the 7th place! The leader Azerbaijan is top with 7 points. However the reality will come early in the 3rd round when Malaysia will be paired against the giant and host country - Germany 1 for the 3rd round of the 2008 Dresden Olympiad which will start at about 10pm Malaysian time. If my memory serve me well, Malaysia were trashed 0-4 by the German in 2006 Turin Olympiad.
I wish that some our player could "steal" one or half points from the mighty giant. I predict the German team will rest their top board - GM Arkadij Naiditsch (2678). All the best guys!
