Recently at the MERDEKA team event I heard many people said that The Chess network will have to move to a new building because the present office at Wilayah Kompleks , Kuala Lumpur will be take over by intersted party who will convertthe building into a hotel.
Recently, the smoke are clear when MCF President – Tan Sri Ramli Ngah Talib in his Closing Speech informed the audience that this year MERDEKA Team Event would be the last event to be held at the Wilayah Complex hall . MCF had in the meantime finalised arrangements to rent a small office space at the OCM building where future tournaments could also be held there.
If i'm not mistaken, the OCM building is at Jalan Hang Jebat near Stadium Negara and Sradium Merdeka. Not a bad place i think logisticly but probably we have to be there to compare it with Wilayah Kompleks. How about you all?
