No Malaysian Women Team in 2008 Dresden Olympiad ?

I just read from setiachess that Malaysian Chess Federation ( MCF ) will not send our women team to the 2008 Dresden Chess Olympiad . The desicion made because two of our strong players - WIM Siti Zulaikha (FIDE 2218) and WCM NurShazwani (FIDE 2016) will not participate because they will have major academic examination during the date of the olympiad.

I personally feel that if finacial is not the problems, MCF should sent the others available players such as NWM Nurulhuda, Khairunissa Wahiddudin, Nabila, Alia Anin Azwa Bakri, Wong Siew Ting or others to gain valuable playing experience in Olympiad. Probably they can use similiar strategy used by the Australian olympiad chess team to raise fund and support their team financely .
