The Sparkassen Chess-Meeting or Dortmund Round Robin Tournaments will start tonight till - 6th July 2008. 8 player will play a against each . This year line up is quite imbalances especially when the top 4 player is top 11 in the world ( Kramnik:2, Mamedyarov :7,Leko : 10 and Ivanchuk : 11) whereas the remaining players is quite a distance in world ranking.( Van Wely : 45, Ian Nepomniachtchi : 86 , Naidtsch and Gustafsson is not even in world top 100! )
The 1st round tonight saw World no. 2 Kramnik (photo right) will meet the weakest player Gustafsson ( photo left) . I predict Kramnik will eat him alive.
