Yesterday I read an interesting article in Chessbase.com regarding the problems of Grandmaster draws in tournaments. The problems have been debated frequently by many experts in chessbase.com s but the recent article from fellow Malaysian Kung-Ming Tiong - a mathematician and logician at School of Science and Technology, Universiti Malaysia Sabah, Malaysia caught my eyes. Tiong Kung Ming or his English name Victor Tiong Kung Ming (right) is a is a mathematician and logician at School of Science and Technology, Universiti Malaysia Sabah, Malaysia. His research interests include mathematics appreciation, mathematical thinking and information technology issues.
He graduate in Bachelor ( Science ). Ed. Hons. In University Malaya and , Master (Science). University Technology of Malaysia, AMInstP Mathematics/Mathematics Education.
This guy is an expert in mathematic and have wrote about academic articles in several books, journal and magazines . He said that he is and avid chess player and has participated in state and university level competitions. This made me remember Dr. John Nunn (left) a strong chess grandmaster and mathematician expert.
