The current FIDE President - Kirsan Ilyumzhinov (photo above) visited Malaysia last week (1st December). He had a few meeting with top figure like Dr. Rais Yatim, Minister of Information, Communications and Culture, Tun Dr. Mahathir bin Mohamad - former Prime Minister of Malaysia, Tan Sri Ramli Ngah Talib - President of the Malaysian Chess Federation and Dato Tan Chin Nam - Honorary Life President of MCF.
