The first super tournament that has ever been held in Turkey - Atatürk International Women Masters Tournament sponsored by the oldest and the biggest bank in Turkey, İş Bank is being held from 10 March – 20 March 2008 in Istanbul, Turkey. The tournament is organized by the Turkish Chess Federation with a total US 16, 000 prize fund and it is a classical round robin tournament with strong women players such as China prodigy GM Hou Yifan (2527), first women GM - GM Pia Cramling (2524), American - IM Irina Krush (2473) , IM Ekaterina Atalik (2408) , and others.

The most shocking results so far is the 0 points (after 4 round) achieved by the former Women World Champion GM Zhu Chen (left) from Qatar. Some of you may asking why this Chinese sound name came from Qatar. Actually, Zhu Chen originally came from China but in 2001 he married with Qatari top player Al Modiahki (right) and later on convert his citizenship to Qatar.

Zhu Chen came to the tournament as the top seed , favorites to win this tournament and with a high expectation especially when she hire GM Victor Bologan (2663) – no 54 in current world ranking, as his second for this tournament. Chess follower know how strong Bologan is (was!?). In 2003, he beat GM Anand and Kramnik to win the super strong Dortmund tournament.But so far after 4 round Zhu Chen is having a bad possible start with 0 points after 4 rounds. To make thing worst, all Zhu Chen (2548) opponents IM Irina Krush (2473) , GM Pia Cramling (2524), IM Ekaterina Atalik (2408) , Hou Yifan (2527) was all lower rated then her ! Zu Chen should seriously considerd to sacked his seconder after this tournament !?
